FAQ

The questions I answer most

You shouldn't have to inquire to find out the basics.

These are the ten questions brides ask me over and over, answered the way I'd answer them in a message. If yours isn't here, just ask.

Questions

Dates, pricing, trials and the look

Are you available on my date?

Send your date through the inquiry form and I'll check it against my calendar and confirm whether it fits my booking minimums and travel availability. Wedding dates can book quickly, especially Saturdays from spring through fall.

How much does bridal makeup and hair cost?

Bridal makeup is $275, bridal hair added to your makeup booking is $275, wedding party makeup and hair are $180 per person, and your trial and travel are added from there. Every wedding gets a customized proposal, so the total depends on your date, your location and your services.

Do you travel to my venue?

Yes. I work throughout Utah, and I confirm travel availability when you inquire. Travel is additional, because I bring my whole studio to you: kit, lighting, table and chair.

Do you do makeup and hair for bridesmaids and moms?

Yes. My MBB x SSS team does makeup and hair for your party, with the same standard of care in every chair. Mature skin deserves just as much intention, and moms are allowed their own glam moment.

Is there a limit on party size, and will you bring more artists?

Yes! The smallest party is just you, and with my team I've taken care of parties of forty. How many one morning can hold, and when a second artist joins, comes down to your finish time. Tell me how many people are getting ready and when you need to be done, and I'll tell you exactly what your morning needs. Coordinating the extra artists is my job, not yours.

When should I schedule my trial?

About two months before your wedding you get a link to schedule your trial, if you want one. Trials happen in my studio in Spanish Fork. It's where we figure out what you love, what you don't, and how much makeup you're comfortable with.

How long does each service take?

I schedule an hour per person for every service, we arrive 15 minutes before the first one, and I like you finished at least an hour before the ceremony so nobody's rushing. We'll work through the whole timeline together before the wedding.

How do I reserve my date?

An inquiry or a proposal doesn't hold a date. Your date is officially yours once the contract is signed and the 30% nonrefundable retainer is paid.

Can I add services after I book?

Yes! I need your final headcount one month before the wedding, and until then you can add services whenever you'd like. Just ask, and I'll check the timeline and my team's availability and let you know. After the one-month mark your headcount is final. If someone wants to add a service on the wedding day, it depends on who's available that day and there's an additional fee, so I never want you counting on squeezing one in once the timeline is set. Adding services doesn't change your minimum or your retainer. You already met the minimum when you booked.

Will soft glam still look like me?

Yes. My style isn't no-makeup makeup, and it isn't a transformation either. It's the space in between: beautiful skin, defined eyes, lashes that make a difference, and makeup that still feels like you, in person and in your photos.

Do you work with mature skin?

Yes, and with just as much intention: skin prep, lightweight layers, strategic coverage and lifted eyes, so it looks fresh and modern rather than heavy or dated.
